PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

A busy week for all, the raffle is doing reasonably well considering the cooler weather, with over $4,000 banked so far, taking just under $100/hr and we even have a marquee this next weekend. The main item from the Board meeting was the decision to put money aside for any future contingencies and to keep topping it up with about 20% of our fund raising. Our donations are to be more targeted especially ensuring it has our Club Rotary branding acknowledged, to raise our Club local profile to encourage membership.
Excellent discussions at last week’s meeting, great to see Doug back and to have two visiting Rotarians join us. This week we resume having a chairperson, Katrina being the first, and we will also have a speaker, Briony Hutton, invited by Ken when he sold her raffle tickets.
For the DG’s visit on the 3rd August we are looking to have it catered by former member Robyn Cross of Tilly’s of Tyabb fame so I need final numbers for that event. Also any time any one is bringing guests, please let me know.
